Near the bottom of our farm, there is a very old swamp called the Slough of Despond. It's known to go back millions of years and can be seen clearly right from our farm throughout the year. The view which you see in this picture was taken from a hiking trail which looks out over our property from the Niagara Escarpment. The trees on the near side are also our property and join near the Slough with protected, Canadian Crown land.
